“Because you’re doing me a favor. The tax office charges the buyer 1.8% of the sale price for registration. If you write 1,500, I pay 27 euros. If you write 400, I pay 7 euros.”
“Take it,” Andrei said. “Give me 1,500 euros. We’ll do the papers at my kitchen table.” They sat down
Vlad showed up with the cash in a brown envelope and a printed (Used Vehicle Sale-Purchase Agreement). It was the standard model from the tax office—two pages, clean boxes, no lawyer needed.
