In the world of PC gaming, few release group names carry as much weight as . Between 2014 and their retirement in 2022, CODEX was one of the most trusted names in cracking modern DRM, including UWP (Universal Windows Platform) . Among their most challenging and celebrated releases was Forza Horizon 3-CODEX . The Challenge: UWP and Microsoft’s Lockdown Released officially in September 2016, Forza Horizon 3 was a flagship Xbox Play Anywhere title. On PC, it was distributed exclusively through the Microsoft Store and protected by UWP + EAppX encryption. Unlike traditional .exe -based games, UWP apps ran inside a heavily sandboxed environment, making them notoriously difficult to crack.
