Who else remembers seeing this in theaters? Title: Revisiting 'Legend of the Guardians' – A Dark Fantasy Gem We Didn’t Appreciate Enough Legend of The Guardians The Owls of GaHoole -Re...
Just finished a rewatch of Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of GaHoole , and I’m convinced it suffers from being marketed as a “kids' animal adventure” when it’s really a war epic with feathers.
From the brainwashing of owlets at St. Aegolius (pure dystopian horror) to the claustrophobic sea battles against the Pure Ones, the film never talks down to its audience. It’s easy to forget how stunning this movie is. The flight sequences, the metal-claw clanks, the stormy skies — Zack Snyder’s visual flair was on another level here. But beyond the slow-mo battles, this rewatch hits different.
