That was until Alice Thunder walked into my life. Not literally, of course. She was my new maid, referred by a friend who swore by her impeccable cleaning skills and friendly demeanor. I was skeptical at first, given my previous experiences with maids who seemed to vanish as quickly as they appeared, leaving behind a trail of unwashed dishes and vacuumed floors that seemed to mock me.

Alice was different. The moment she arrived, her presence was unmistakable. She was efficient, kind, and possessed a spirited energy that immediately put me at ease. Her dark hair was tied back in a ponytail, revealing a pair of glasses perched on the end of her nose and a warm, inviting smile.

Alice had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard, and I found myself opening up to her in ways I never thought possible. My writing began to flourish, perhaps inspired by the calm and order she brought into my life.

As the days turned into weeks, I found myself looking forward to Alice's visits more and more. It wasn't just about the clean apartment; it was about her company. We would talk about books, movies, and life, sharing stories and laughter.

The first few days were a whirlwind of activity as Alice transformed my apartment from a cluttered mess into a serene oasis. She cooked, cleaned, and organized, all with a grace and ease that made me wonder how I had managed without her.

As the months passed, our relationship blossomed. It started with small gestures—a thank you note for cleaning my favorite coffee mug or a surprise coffee in the morning. These gestures turned into shared dinners, walks in the park, and eventually, into something more.
