2: Naughty Adventures Of Pepito Book

The next day was Señora Gonzalo’s 80th birthday. Señora Gonzalo was the strictest teacher in school. She had never smiled. Not once. Kids whispered she had a face made of used bricks.

“There’s a first time for everything,” she sighed. Pepito discovered the Snortlepig’s weakness: it hated genuine laughter. Fake laughter made it stronger. But real, belly-aching, tear-streaming laughter made it shrink.

Pepito watched from the bell tower, tears streaming down his face. Lola shook her head. “You’re going to get us grounded until we’re thirty.”

Pepito grinned. Book 2 was closed. But deep under the fountain, the Snortlepig rolled over in its sleep and whispered one last thing: Naughty Adventures Of Pepito Book 2

“Impossible,” Lola said.

“It remembers everything,” Lola whispered. The Snortlepig was invisible, but you could see its path: teachers’ chalk would turn to cheese, stairs would become slippery with jam, and every time Pepito tried to apologize, his own pants would fall down.

It rolled back under the fountain, snoring softly, a smile on its ugly face. The mayor declared Pepito “Official Town Prankster, Level Two.” Señora Gonzalo started telling jokes in math class (they were terrible, but everyone laughed anyway). Don Ramón gave Pepito his iguana, Chaos, as a sidekick. The next day was Señora Gonzalo’s 80th birthday

Pepito looked at Lola. “I’ve never done a selfless prank in my life.”

(…for now.) – When Pepito’s prank erases everyone’s memory of their own names, he must travel to the Cave of Embarrassment to find the one thing that can fix it: a sincere compliment from his worst enemy.

Within thirty seconds, the entire town square sounded like a bathtub full of terrified ducklings. Even the dogs howled. For the first time ever, the Town Meeting of Silence was a Town Meeting of Uncontrollable Laughter. Not once

From under the floorboards, the Snortlepig let out a confused whimper. It began to shrink. The green glitter faded. The invisible beast curled up, not from defeat, but because—for the first time—it was laughing too.

The whole school laughed. Real, pure, joyful laughter.
