Nfpa 2015 Apr 2026

1. Scope This standard prescribes standardized fire test procedures for evaluating the performance of building construction assemblies, structural elements, and individual materials when exposed to defined fire conditions. It is intended to establish a common methodology for determining flame spread, fire resistance, smoke development, and structural integrity under thermal stress.

The purpose of NFPA 2015 is to provide reproducible, laboratory-based test methods that simulate real fire exposures. Results obtained under this standard serve as the basis for classification, regulatory approval, and engineering calculations for passive fire protection systems. nfpa 2015
