Revisiting the Grunge Genesis: Why ‘Nirvana – Live at the Paramount (DVD, NTSC)’ is an Essential Artifact
This isn't the burned-out Kurt of 1993, nor the acoustic fragility of Unplugged . This is Kurt Cobain with a shaved head, a Fender Jaguar, and a bottle of water. He swings, he stalks, he smashes. Krist Novoselic swings his bass like a propeller, and Dave Grohl (still the new guy at this point) beats the drums so hard you feel it in your chest. The DVD audio mix (Dolby Digital 5.1) is aggressive; the kick drum has a physical weight to it. Nirvana - Live at the Paramount -DVD NTSC-
